Better Days
Let me propose a toast,
To all those years we've penned
Good times on the west coast,
Life's story had no end
We were so young and free,
Such hot and crazy days
Riding onwards with glee,
Life's energy ablaze
Still seasons carried on,
We learned from our mistakes
With feelings come and gone,
Life's losses in our wakes
My friend it's fine to think,
Sometimes to reminisce
But please don't raise your drink,
Without me saying this
Those years have had their run,
I'm perplexed to see how
The truth you still yet shun,
That better days are now
To all those years we've penned
Good times on the west coast,
Life's story had no end
We were so young and free,
Such hot and crazy days
Riding onwards with glee,
Life's energy ablaze
Still seasons carried on,
We learned from our mistakes
With feelings come and gone,
Life's losses in our wakes
My friend it's fine to think,
Sometimes to reminisce
But please don't raise your drink,
Without me saying this
Those years have had their run,
I'm perplexed to see how
The truth you still yet shun,
That better days are now
