Awakened powers rise in dark hours As I give in to the night; A vibrant hypnosis, scrolling psychosis Scenes unknown to light; From unending mazes to puzzling crazes And horrors to frighten the soul; Emotions released, let loose wild beast I feel alive and whole.
The morning sun forgets what I’ve done As I give in to the light; A comfortable saneness, veritable plainness Scenes unknown to night; From unchanging actions to vacant distractions And customs to strangle the soul; Emotions restrained, rampant beast chained I feel bereft not whole.
There’s only one question that I’ve often asked Why slight the first to favour the last; For in chasing daydreams, the more that I strive The less I recall when I’m truly alive.
